On August 8, 2025, I had the joy of photographing Efrain and Julie’s elopement at the Laguna Beach courthouse. From the very beginning, it was such a sweet and meaningful day. They started at the courthouse. Julie looked absolutely stunning, her dress was everything, and her smile said it all.

One of my favorite moments of the day was when a flower lady walked into the courthouse just as Julie and Efrain were signing their papers. She handed Julie flowers that had been sent to her, and while I can’t remember exactly who they were from, it was the sweetest. Little surprises like that are what make days like this unforgettable.

After the courthouse, we headed to Laguna Beach to capture more personal photos and celebrate with their families by the water. The cloudy skies rolled in just a little, which actually worked in our favor and created dreamy light for their portraits. Down by the water, the sun peeked through and warmed everything up, it was a little hot (we were all feeling it, lol), but the way these two lit up together made every moment worth it. Their connection, their joy, and the way they looked at each other made the session feel so effortless.

Another detail I couldn’t stop admiring was Julie’s ring!!! it was absolutely breathtaking, and it sparkled!!!!

What made this session even more special for me was the connection I’ve been able to build with Julie’s family. Back in April 2025, I photographed her mom’s wedding, which is how I first met Julie and her sweet family. Not long after, her mom booked a senior session for Julie’s sister, and over time we’ve developed such a genuine connection. I love chatting with her mom, and it’s been such an honor to continue documenting milestone after milestone for their family.

Efrain and Julie’s elopement was the perfect reflection of their love, sweet, relaxed, and full of genuine moments. Despite the heat, the day was filled with laughter, love, and beautiful memories by the water. I feel so lucky to have been a part of it, and I can’t wait to see where life takes this amazing couple next.
