Back in February, I had the sweetest evening with Shaylee and Ethan at Mission Trails for their maternity session. The fields were golden, wasn’t too hot, and the whole vibe was so peaceful. Shaylee was glowing, and Ethan was the kindest presence—steady, supportive, and so easygoing. What I loved most about this session was how natural it felt. They weren’t worried about posing perfectly; they just leaned into each other, laughed, talked, and let the evening flow. Sessions like that are always my favorite because the photos feel so effortless and true to who they are.

Fast forward to June, and I got to see them again when I photographed their newborn session for their baby boy, Wesley. It felt so special to reconnect just a few months later and witness the new chapter of their story. Shaylee and Ethan were thriving as new parents—still the sweetest couple, now with their beautiful little boy in their arms. Wesley was absolutely perfect, and the love between them as a family of three was so clear in every moment we captured.

Getting to be part of both of these milestones was such a gift. From glowing fields in February to cozy newborn moments in June, it’s been an honor to walk alongside Shaylee and Ethan in this season of their lives. These sessions reminded me why I love photography so much—not just for the beautiful light or scenery, but for the chance to connect, to follow a family’s journey, and to create memories they’ll treasure
